Default Sorry, Gotta Ask

Ok, so I'm sure you guys are sick and tired of hearing guys ask this question, but I have to ask regardless.

What do you think the HP would be on this setup? Obviously a rough ball park figure. Also whats the 1/4 Potential for such a setup....

1995 Z28, 6 Speed
3.73 Gears
Hayes Clutch
Vortec Intake Elbow
Moroso Cold Air Intake
Throttle Body air Foil
Edlebrock Headers
No Cat
Borla Cat back exhaust
MSD Cap, Rotor, Coil
MSD 6 Ignition
Ported and Polished Heads
Power Tower Shifter
All Poly Mounts/bushings
Lakewood Rear Control arms
160 Thermostat

Also any recommendations on a next mod to do? Not looking for a race car, just something decent as a street car. Beat on some civics. What do you guys think?

Sorry, I don't have any specs on the heads. I just know they are lightly ported.

Also what do you guys think of throwing the Lt4 Hot Cam Kit on this setup. By that I mean the Hot Cam, 1.6 Rockers, and the Valve Springs.

With "lightly" ported and polished heads you could be running around 330 or so crank HP, but the heads are really the thing that's going to make the biggest difference here. A lot of your mods are not power adding, i.e. clutch, MSD ignition stuff, shifter. As far as a next mod to run, since you only listed Edelbrock headers you may want to think about the mandrel bent Y pipe if you're still running the stock Y, it's very restrictive because it's not mandrel bent and you really aren't getting anything from your shorty headers without a good Y pipe to back them up.

Sorry, Probably should have mentioned that, It has a mendral bent y Pipe on there. Not sure who makes it, but its def aftermarket, and mendral bent. So you think around 330? With the CAI, headerback exhaust, light port job, TB air foil, andVortec Intake elbow? And again, what gains do you think the Lt4 Hotcam kit would yield in this sort of setup.

Essentially, I'm just trying to build my car to beat on my friends Camaro. He has a 98 SS. He thinks it's so fast, But I'm pretty sure I can take him. He has nothing but a Borla Cat back. Everything else is stock.

I can tell you the intake elbow and the TB foil don't get you much, maybe 5 HP together, typically those aren't things that you get much out of until you need to be able to get tons of air through them. Since you have the Y pipe you're probably making a bit more, but again, you really can't just add the numbers of power parts together, it's not quite that simple. With those mods, and if you can actually drive it well, you may be able to keep up with your friend, maybe...just run him and see how you do, it's that simple.
