just got home from crabbing, how tight are the nuts, if there lose that may be the issue. pull the nuts off and lift the pump up and see if the seal is seated correctly.

nuts should be tightened to 63 inch pounds if you have a inch pound torque wrench.

It has been awhile for me but should some of those hoses have clamps on them?

Damn I knew it would involve taking the pump back out. I'm going to see if I can get the shop to do it for free. Seems to me they should have done it right the first time.

True and they should be glad you brought a gas leak back, they would be responsible for the issue had the car caught fire. Sorry, I should have mensioned that as soon as you said a shop was involved.
