I bought one from Hawks Third Gen on eBay, along with an SLP air filter. Then I looked at the item location, and figured out it was only 30 min. away from Greenville (where I'm in college right now). So I decided to visit.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has some tricks on getting installed. I got everything taken apart, and need to do the cutting to make things fit.

As a side note, Hawks is a pretty fun place to visit. Their stockpile of parts is incredible! I had some serious jealousy issues while walking around there. I'll definitely be visiting again.

Also, I got the Ram Air part and the filter for $113 total. Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

 

I got everything finished up yesterday, and got to go for a little test drive afterward. It seemed like I could feel a little bit of an improvement, and definitely better throttle response. Just waiting to get a new airlid next so I can remove the air silencer. I'm mostly hoping to get some MPGs out of it.
