Silver box?
So I am having a no spark issue on a 94 Camaro, I traced the pink ignition wire from the fuse box to a silver box beside the glove box. What does this box do exactly? I have power before the box but not after the box. Since my engine is carbureted, I am guessing I do not need this box. I'm guessing that this box feeds wires through the firewall into the black/metal coloured box in the engine bay on the passenger side. I am not sure.
Does this box reduce or change voltages or resistances or anything? Just so I can compensate for those changes when I bypass this box with my ignition wire.
*EDIT* I guess what I meant to say was that my engine is a old style V8, most high tech thing I have is probably my HEI distributor. But that doesn't matter, just need to know what this box does specifically. I don't even know what it's called for me to look it up on my own.
