Default Should I buy 1994 Camaro???

Sorry about cross posting this, but I posted it in New Members before I found this forum.
Hey all. Found a 94 Camaro (3.4 v6) 158,000 not running. Owner says fuel injectors need to be cleaned. He already replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, and CPS. Told me "motor turns over freely, has compression, but it had sat for over 2 years it would barely crank but idle really low and not respond to giving it throttle." Not so sure it's injectors.
I have also read that the 3.4's have had intake manifold problems, too.
I want a mid to late 90's Camaro and don't want to jump on this one thinking I can clean injectors and have a reliable engine and then injectors not be problem. I am basically shade tree mechanic (my 96 Cherokee keeps me busy...lol. Headlight switch went out 4 days ago and now power locks started just clicking but not unlocking this morning! Ha!) I enjoy working on cars and have basic knowledge and my tool collection is growing, but don't want to get too deep into an engine if it's more than injectors.
My question is, does his explanation, his repairs and his telling me that cleaning the fuel injectors make sense and will get this car running? Thanks guys.

It is just my opinion but I would not mess with a 3.4. That engine was only put in a early 4th gens Camaro and it is not available from any other car. The 96 up 3800 are very common and have more HP and get better MPG then the 3.4. GM used the 3800 long block to 2008 so the junk yard have tons of them. They will handle a beating better also.

The issues does not sound like injectors to me, it sound more like a computer issue or a plugged cat/exhaust.

Back in 09 when I built my 3800 you could find 3.4 for a reasonable price but the 3800 that where less then 5K where all junk. A decent 3800 was 7k. I fond a body in good shape for $1000 and a engine for $650 and I added another $800 in parts and upgrades. I drove that car a 100k and 6 years. It was the cheapest per miles car that I have ever owned.
