Default should i be able to fix these problems?

Been looking at sexy as fuark 2001 SS 'MARO but it's got some issues, but its really cheap.

2001, 100k miles,

-both windows aren't working right, driver side motor messed up, and passenger side needs to be reset in.

-check engine light saying EGR problems.

-trunk struts need replacing, but thats easy

-AC doesn't work

-tiny rust hole near front bumper

-slight whistling noise when driving but i'm assuming cuz windows prolly aint set in right.

-alternator and battery were giving problems but i worked with the owner and ended up doing a bypass from battery straight to alternator :S

-Fuel pump was also giving problems but it got replaced.

-Horn doesn't work

everything else seems pretty okay i think

are these problems pretty fixable, and then the car will be nice and reliable?

Also i'm kinda scared because pop the hood and EVERY SINGLE PART under the hood, and exhaust pypes under car, EVERYTHING is rusted to hell....

but it should be okay? he only wants 2k for it!! ALSO ITS T-TOP WHICH I WANT!!

it seems to drive and stuff just fine. i'm mostly scared abotu the EGR problem because I had a camaro v6 95 a while back, and it had egr check engline light and no one could ever figure out why it was coming up, basically when u drive down a hill the computer does a egr test and it would fail each time, took it to chevy dealer even and they charged me thousands of dollars on repairing parts and service but in the end they couldn't fix it even....

Well at least the price is fair. On a running SS The Hood, Hatch, engine and trans are worth the 2K. If it is a flood car it should become a parts car but assuming it just an unmaintained year around driven northern car you are more of a factor then the car.

I would never recommend a car like this for a daily driver. But if you are on a budget and you want to learn and have the time and a place to work on it could be learning project and if it all goes south then just part it out and make some money.

There is nothing that is not fixable. Most of the time EGR codes are fixed by replacing the EGR valves BUT the EGR system consists of the PCM the wiring harness and the EGR. I would never scrap a car because of trouble with a computer. If you take a car to a good dealership that have an advanced system that they can hook up to the computer and the EGR that monitor exactly what is going on in each wire. These system know what each wire should read and they can map out the smallest voltage spike. The systems are design to catch manufacture defects in new cars manufacturing can to a lot of things mother nature can not so they are very detailed.

Like I said it is more about you. Can you weld to fix the hole? Do you have the equipment to safely get the car up in the air? Do you have any support in terms of friends to help you? The windows are going to be a pain, I have never heard anyone, not even a pro say the Camaro windows are easy. Are you the kind of guy that will throw a wrench through a window or the kind of guy that does not take it personally and will feel good about fixing something that was a challenge?

If you want the challenge and it would not be your only car go pull the side kick panel on the drivers side and check under the seat for any signs or water. If it is not a flood car I would say go for it.
