shopping for camaros

RE: shopping for camaros
If you don't care about power, find a V6 that's in good condition with low miles. Look at the Kelly Blue Book value to see if you're getting a good deal and base your search off of that. Don't get too hasty in trying to find a good car, it'll take a while to get one that's actually good, but if you look at enough and keep your eye out, one will come along. I always check www.cars.com and www.autotrader.com to see what the prices range from for stuff that I'm looking for.

th3po1son has a point about insurance. Before I got my car about 8 months ago when I was 16, I got a quote from our insurance agent and it would be the same on a LT1 F-body/C4 as my2000 3.8.

RE: shopping for camaros
wow u guys got owned by insurance... When i was on my parents account i paid 100/300 liability (max liability) along with several discounts i paid 180 a month(farmers)... on a 98 V6 Mustang.. now im on my own (im 18)and i pay 150 amonth for my 94Z(gieco). Gas is the only thing thats a bit expensive but ive got a job that pays roughly600 a month. I pay 150 for insurance 100to my dad for the repairs he helped me with 20 for my phone bill leaving me with 430 a month for gas+parts... I pull aside 50 bucks into a seperate bank account for gas every pay check thats 100 a month for gas. so i usually end up with 330 to myself after gas a

Yea for me my 3.4L and Z28 are exactly the same in price for insureance. But yea look in auto trader!!! I picked my Z not to long ago off some guy who was selling his 94' Z28, 59K miles, new SS wheels and a seperate set off factory wheels, short shifter, and a lot of other add ons for like 6,900!!!! This is the trick you should try with auto trader, pick out like three or four Camaros you like. Every week pick up an auto trader and see if any of them sold yet. Call the people for the cars you like and ask them stuff like why are they selling it, and if they had any offers on it!!! After that, dont call them again!!!!!!!!!! Wait till you see if they sold their car yet, and if you have time, wait three or four months..........throw them a low ball offer.....and most likely(depends on the sellers situation of why they are selling it)they will take your offer b/c they just wanna get rid of it!!!!
