ok so i have a friend who has.. well had.. a vette.. now its a lawn ornament.. but i want his rims.. and i told him id trade him mine. heres a pic of his rims (oh yeah and its high centered on a rock.. kids not a great driver... ):



Heres mine.. they can shine.. but it takes some scrubbing..


But what do you guys think? Im not lookin for somethin fancy kuz i want to get Torq Thrusts later.

 

Not bad they look like the 98-02 rims IMO, Kinda am a fan of the ones you have now, personally.. What are those? Eagles, Im thinking. Post a pic of a side view of your car. both 16's? tires included? If the tread are better than yours then i would.. Low Profile 16's are expensive. 245/50/16ZR I would imagine?

 

Yeah their 17in eagle alloys. The main thing i want from him is a tire with better tread (since he doesnt drive anymore my 3 bald as tires.. one of which keeps deflating to 13psi... and my 1 brand new 90% tread Faulken all season tire... control is a ***** on choppy roads... wont bother him) He bought his from a car lot and he had it for a week before he spun it. Before he spun it he blew the clutch.. its a ZL1 i think.. got some fancy suspension. Anyway yeah.. i just want that Chevy performance logo.. lol

 

i like your rims more personally, but if your ever selling your rims let me know.

 

I really like the ZR1 wheels that the vette has, those were my second choice when I bought new wheels for my car (although they would have been chrome not painted like those), I'd go for it, I'm a big fan of those wheels, although they are the same wheels that came on the SS's so the ones you have are a bit more unique.

 

I like the Vette rims also but you see so many Camaros with them. I would probably go a different kind of rim but that's just me.

 

I would take the Vette rims. Just the same as you shouldn't buy something just because other people has it doesn't mean that you should NOT buy something because other people have it. Just get what you like best. If the ONLY factor is rarity then get the ones less people have but other than that just pick whichever is better looking, which for me is the Vette rims.

 

Enuff about the wheels...more importantly, what's happening to the Vette?

 

the kid gunned it on wet pave ment around a corner hydroplaned spun and high centered it on a rock... his first car was a big old toyota truck. then he sold it for an old porsche without p/s or p/b.. needless to say not the smarted kid in the world.

Anyway the vette rims would be temporary. im saving up for Torq Thrusts.

 

if i meet that kid, i will drop kick him in the face for doing that to a vette, but i like the rims on ur maro better than those one the vette
