shifter adjust
02 z28 6 speed have been noticing a developing situation with the shifter. it seems to be getting more difficult while rolling, to downshift from upper gears into 2nd, and even 1st after coming to a stop. I realize that there is a speed related sensor that prevents 1st gear until a lower speed is reached, but it still takes work to get it into first once stopped. it doesn't seem to be a problem going from a stop in neutral into 1st nor going from 1st into 2nd, just in the reverse direction. is the shifter adjustable and where to adjust from
How many miles on the clutch? Have you ever replaced the master or slave cylinder?
There is nothing to really adjust. I think it sounds more like a failing cylinder or a shifter fork wearing out. Master cylinder failures are really common on our cars, but your symptoms don't quite exactly match those of a failing cylinder.
