SERVICE VEHICLE light.

I have had this light come on a few times and go off. Not the SES light, it says "SERVICE VEHICLE" What does that mean?

Means it is time for an oil change, and the light will have to be reset.

Your service manual should tell you how to reset it. usually involves pushing trip meter and key and petals in certain order. At least it does for other vehicles.

doesn't disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery also resets it?

It has on ly come on twice and shut off after I restart the car. It happens justafter I de lete the cpu co des.

After changing the engine oil, the system must be reset.

[*]Turn the ignition key to RUN with the engine turned off.[*]Push the TRIP/OIL RESET button located on the instrument panel for 12 seconds.The OIL CHANGE light will start to flash to confirm that the system is reset. The reset is complete when the OIL CHANGE light goes out.[/ol]
