well Im just the type of guy that likes to do things right the first time and think things through for awhile, I just want to be 100% sure if Im making the right decision cause I dont want to waste time and money if I rush into a bad idea.

What about a leakdown test? could I do a leakdown test on a cold engine and get accurate results?

hard to say on a motor thats been setting. should work but if numbers are bad, to double check you can take the rockers off and grab a mallot and rap the valves a couple times to clear and reset the valves, should (not completely foolproof) get good numbers after that if its a decent motor.

Well it seems like a good motor and the back story to it sounds good and the guy selling it is a good guy so I'm probably gonna pick it up just cause its a pretty good deal regardless.
