Default Rumble Drone Noise While Stopped

We just got an older Camaro that is in great condition but I have a question.

When we are stopped in drive it has a loud drone/vibration/rumble noise that goes away when we get off the brakes or pop it into neutral.

What might that be and is it normal?

Check the exhaust to make sure it is not vibrating against something and also the tranny mount.

Tranny mount, good idea. I will check that, I checked the motor mounts but did not think about the tranny.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I'm having the same problem. Did the possible solutions above solve the problem? I figured I'd ask before I lift the car up and check myself.
