Since all of you would like to dog on the intake I have on my car, I am going to replace it. It was on the car when I bought it and decided not to replace it. But, I might as well because I don't like it anyhow. Any recommendations on the kind I should get? I do not have a lot of money, but I can save.
Also, I think my opti is bad. Does anyone know where I can get one cheap and how to install it?

k&n, moroso, or one of that style, or the slp like liberty showed. chandlermotorshorts (site sponsor) sells a opti with a warrenty thats a little less than 200, a couple of the guys on here have them with good results. otherwise i would say a gm performance opti would be the best choise.

heres a good reference page. 4th Gen LT1 F-Body Tech Aids
i would recomend you pick up a factory service manual for your model and yr. they look like this 1994 Chevrolet Camaro & Pontiac Firebird Factory Service Manual - 2 Volume Set
if you look you can find them for less. at the very least pick up a aftermarket repair manual.
to get to the opti you need to take the fan shroud and water pump off. best to get a new water pump if you can afford it. if it fails you can ruin a new opti.
