The basic idea is that you'll take off the valve covers and replace rockers and such. Replacing springs takes a little longer, since you have to take measures to make sure the valves don't drop when you replace their springs. I'm not going to tell you it's a simple job, but if you know how get to the valve covers, to get them off, that's half the battle. It's more time consuming than it is difficult.
