I am installing some white face guages on my 94 z-28. The guages came with a dimmer switch? the switch has a red wire and a black wire. I wanna know if i can splice into the original head light switch or dimmer wheel. if so what color wires on the original wiring harness do i splice into?

 

after stripping a small section of the wire for the wf gadges i just unpluged the headlight wire harness and fed the wire into the plug wire so it would get a conection and plugged the harness back in. i dont remember what color it was but it was the outlet wire for the dimmer wheel. if u need more info i can pull it apart and see.

 

if you could do that, that would be most helpful

 

mine is hooked into the small grey and the black on the far side towards the wheel switch. tried to take a picture but it was out of focus.
