If you go back and re-read Ban's post again, you'll notice he didn't replace his rotors. And since he said he couldn't get them off, he obviously didn't get them dressed down either...doing neitherisa big no-no! The scraping he is hearing is probably from the crusty build up of rust on the inner and outer edge of the rotor that the new pads are now riding on. By the way, warped rotors won't cause a scraping sound, it will cause a pulsing sensation in the brake pedal.

 

Thanks for the replies guys, I was just a dumbass. Turns out the back brakes needed to be replaced. The rotor I did replace was just a bit warped and probably didn't have to be replaced, but it is now so **** it. Worse case scenario I just flushed 30 bucks down the toilet, I'll recover. Thanks again for responding.

 

Yeah take the calipers off and slip the rotor off... if it doesnt it might be corroded on so just hit it with a hammer until it breaks loose...

Brake cleaner works well when you are trying to remove the corrosion or rust

 

I don't know if it's different ona Camaro but to get my rotors off I had to take the entire bracket that the caliper fit into to free up the rotor.

SixShooter has the right idea to get the rotors off, but I usually go for a rubber mallet.
