Hey everyone, here's my problem. I just got a '99 Z28 and the front speakers (Monsoon system) are blown to bits. So, I need to replace them. But, the Monsoon replacements are very expensive, and I don't want to do any splicing of wires. So, I have narrowed my choices down to 2; either buy the revised Monsoon speakers for $235 bucks (because the rears and hatch are all fine), or buy the Kee Auto replacement set for $289.

I want to know which system sounds better. I know a lot of people like the Monsoons, but I've also seen that you either love the Monsoons or hate them. If any of you all have experience with these, please let me know. It would really be appreciated!

I took all mine out and stored them, put in modern stuff and I'm not thinking I'll ever want to go back to them. I unplugged everything and laid all new high caliber cable so can easily go back to stock if I do change my mind.

 

I bought one replacement on eBay for my SS, OEM speaker...

 

Definately go aftermarket $200 will get you some mighty high end componets. If i where you id just replace all 4 with the $200 and you will stilll get a GOOD setup.

 

Does anyone have any experience with the Kee Audio set or any other "full replacement" sets for the Monsoon system? I'd like to know which is the best.
