rebuild or new motor?
okay so i was looking to go ahead and buy a new car. but i just cant part with my 93 z28 since it is my first car, paid full by me
so its something to be proud of. (not to mention insurance is lower then most new cars with any horses)
now i just want it to go faster... and quite a bit faster i dont mind money price so.. what should i do
1. keep stock lt1 (12x,xxx miles; still runs great) and upgrade with bolt ons and what not (please include list)
2. rebuild same lt1 block and put upgrades in it.. along with full tranny and rearend
3. buy this crate motor (2nd one down) http://www.golenengineservice.com/html/lt1_lt4.html and up grade that
4. whatever else you can throw at me with an opinion would be great

i'd buy another lt1 block and rebuild the hell out of that one and keep the original in the car until it pretty much dies. then you got the new one ready to throw in when it dies. take that advice for what you will
im going to buy another block and then buy aftermarket internals etc. and throw that in my camaro. That way i know whats been done to the engine because i did it personally ANY if i want to go get my car tuned i can tell em what i have to squeeze all the power i can out of it.
If money is no object then why not go with the Golen Engine? You can get a fully built up small block and they'll even tune the pcm to fit the engine you purchased. At least that's what I read when I was searching for an engine on that site a couple years ago. No guess work. Just a thought.
