Default rear seat mounting?

How do you fasten the rear seats down? I just got the car and the rear of the seat bottoms are not bolted down to anything. It feels like there is a bolt holding down the front but nothing in the back. I look and couldn't see or feel anything back there. Any ideas?

If a 2000 is like a 94 there's a single hex head screw at the front edge of the seat down at the carpet.

They don't fasten in the back. Only in the front. Like 1augapfel said, there's only one bolt at the front of the seat that holds it in.

WOW, I never would have guessed that! The seat just looks funny, its raised up in the back, looks like its trying to fall off the front edge.

Push it down in the back so that it's stuffed under the back rest. Here's a couple pics of how it's SUPPOSED to look lol...

Ya, I did that. But every time my grand daughter gets out of the seat, it comes back out. Just seems cheap. BUT, the granddaughter does like the way the seats "hug her butt!"

Yeah I have that problem too. Mine pops up when people get outa my car. Maybe try double sided sticky tape. That stuff is strong if you clean both surfaces first. I've used it to hold bumpers on cars and it looks good if you know what you're doing lol. Try it and see if it works. The worst that could happen is that it doesn't stick. It's not like anyone is gonna see it under your seat lol

Sounds like someone who didn't know what they were doing tried to remove their seats by grabbing the back and yanking. The retaining tab at the front may now be bent. I'll take some pics tomorrow of what the front *should* look like.

Well if that's the case, you can bend back the retaining tab when you take the seats out.
