Default Rear end prep questions

Hey guys,

I have a couple of questions. I already introduced myself here
https://camaroforums.com/m_187951/tm.htm

I just picked up a 98 Z28 rear end as a replacement for the whining rear I have now..
Any suggestions on what I should do prior to bolting it up? Should I change the fluid? Is there anything specific I should inspect? I already plan on replacing bothu jointsand it is geting a new caliper/rotor setup. I don't like doing things twice so I would rather do it right the first time and what better way than to ask the experts...

Thanks in advance

I would put some gears in it since you already have it off the car

Really? You think I should replace the ring and pinion? The rear is off of a 98 z28 and it had low miles 40-50k as far as I know. Any suggestions on where I should get the ring and pinion?

Any other suggestions?

you can look on the internet... i'd look into some 4.10s

i think slp has an affordable pack but lmperformance.com or thunderracing.com have some good deals usually
