Default re-setting service engine soon light 99 camaro

How do you turn off service engine soon light? On my 99 camaro i removed stock intake and air flow sensor from air cleaner, this kicked the light on. I modified new cold air intake and put sensor is back in place. Does run better better response, kinda loads up when 1st starting on cold mornings for a short bit. Thanks

Easiest way is to get a scan tool and clear the codes. I think it will clear itself after so many times of running without seeing the error.

I'd take it to someone who has a code reader. It literally takes 20 seconds to do. I've also read that disconnecting the negative battery terminal for two minutes will reset the codes, but I can't confirm this.

Disconnection the - battery terminal only works on OBDI computers. OBDII holds codes untill X number of tests with a no fault condition. Most autopart stores will be able to reset your light for you or give you the reader to do it yourself.

That makes sense. I'm still OBDI.

if the problem still persists chances are the light might come back on..
im almost positive the code will say its reading to high or to low of a signal voltage due to the different pipage on the intake
