Well it held up fine with the putty for about 150 miles and it is back at it again. I filled it all the way up with 50/50 and it isn't getting hot but it is still overflowing where the small crack is but also leaking alot from the overflow below the radiator cap. I was going to put exactly two gallons in but it would only take about 1 & 3/4. What gives?

FIX it then. Band-aids only help for a short time. Fix it the right way. Replace your radiator thats the only sure way to get it to stop leaking. Also on the water only question... If you live where it gets really cold in the winter (at or below freezing) the water will freeze and what happens when water freezes? It EXPANDS your engine block has many small passages in which the coolant/water flows there is no room for expanding and will crack your block.

Also the BEST mixture for coolant and water is 70% coolant/anti-freeze 30% water.

RSSteve is correct Also when i had a problem believe it or not in my radiator... i used.. PEPPER..[sm=jawdrop.gif] Yes it will fill a hole in the radiator and will last around 150 miles.. then gotta buy a whole new pack lol.. and its bio degradable so its safe and cheap and it will stop a hole the size of quarter
