quick lt1 question

Default quick lt1 question

would the lt1 froma caprice fit in my camaro? are the lt1 in the camaro nd caprice the same?

buy an ls1, the lt1 will require alot of modification to fit in that car, check the forsale section of the forums someone in SC has an ls1 from a wrecked ss for sale, it looks like your close so go buy that instead, it would bolt right up

im pretty sure u could find a camaro with the lt1 already installed for about the same price all that modding and installation would cost you.

yeah, i would do ls1 if i could find one for a decent price or find one period, but i posted on that ad, but the reason i was askin is cause i found a lt1 out of a caprice for 400..so i didnt know if it would work

LS1 is nice, but i like my LT1.

They are basically the same, except that the caprice LT1 uses iron heads and a cam ground for low end torque. The water pump has different angles for the hoses, the intake plumbing and exhaust manifolds are different.

The Lt1 in the caprice is only rated at 260hp rather than 275hp in the Camaro?
