Question About True Dual Exhaust
#71
I have never heard rasp on my Borla Adjustable, and the only crackle is if say you gun it and then abruptly let off the gas, it can crackle a little for a second or two...
I know rasp from my old straight-piped 3.4L -- nothing like that!

Yes it sounds good, and it is not a 3.4L you know...

Not for the price I ended up paying when all was said and done -- I got a deal.
Audio recording of exhaust never captures the audio adequately IMHO, and the audio you care about is two-fold -- sound from the cabin with windows up AND down, and then how it sounds from outside the car to a person walking by. This kind of thing is best heard in person, but if I get a chance, I will make an attempt and post it. I doubt it will capture the sounds I know from driving it when I will hear the audio.

I'll ask you again Liberty, if you like your exhaust so much and say it has no rasp POST A VIDEO of it so we can hear for ourselves. Even if it is that great, it still costs almost as much as those true dual setups you posted.
I'm looking forward to seeing (and hearing) the results Chaotic.

Although this isn't very nice, I got a good laugh out of it.
If there's one thing I've noticed about Liberty, it's that if he likes a product, it's that product or nothing. Suspension parts come to mind.
The videos I've seen of the Borla adjustable don't really come near the sound quality of the true duals, but I haven't heard it in person.

Nothing, but I do like the sound -- if I didn't, I surely wouldn't promote the product, but the built-in adjustably make it killer, IMHO. For some time before I bought it, I continually read, on this board, that it was the best sounding V6 Camaro exhaust sound, and now that I have it, I would not change it.
If you only knew how many exchanges Borla did because of poor craftsmanship and carelessness... (If you really want the detail, let me know.) Which is another part of the reason my actual cost was lessened due to discounts.

Yes but I'm still getting headers, x-pipe, piping over the axle, my muffler, and tips all installed for $830. The borla cat back is like $900. And mine will sound better and perform better with the headers and x-pipe.
