my buddy told me to use gear oil on a man trans bc it is a gearbox theres no need for atf thats hydraulic fluid anyways i put 80 90 in mine and noticed less trans noise and i cant feel the heat thru the floor anymore (hes been running it in his 91 s10 since he got it in 91)

yea, i will have to call a local tranny shop and get their suggestion. just seems weird that you would have ATF in an manual tranny.

the kit came with just the bearing, but as that is what is rubbing, should be all i need to worry about.

had the flywheel turned, but missed picking it up before the shop closed, so will have to wait until monday to get back at working on the car
