Dunno, haven't been out in some time. Our Mustang broke out of it's safety class in the 1/8, time for an NHRA license and chassis cert. Was irritating, went 10.0 in the 1/4, but broke out in the 1/8. Wanted a single digit pass, not a 10, lol.

Got 3 members in the club with fwd 3800's that are all in the 12.3's now, I'm joining the race to the 11's. I've got the advantage though, the Camaro isn't wrong wheel drive.

One thing I'm deathly worried about right now is the 10 bolt. To launch a stick car without killing the drive train, you run slicks and come out spinning (hence how I can cut 1.7 60's with a weak sauce 250whp). The soft slicks combined with coming out spinning relieves some stress. I can't run my 4.10 gears anymore though, by the time it spools I'll be ready shift. How I'm going to get it out without blowing the 10-bolt to pieces on 3.42 gears is beyond me. Gonna need a ford 9" back there soon, but my budget has no room for one.

i know a guy who was running his 10 bolt in the 11s for a little while but it started frying after a while but when it finaly went you could reach in and grab a handful of metal shavings

what kind of whp are you going to be making do you think??? an 8.8" Ford rear can handle almost 500whp all day long. and they're a little cheaper than the 9" last i checked.

Default Awesome 3.8 NA

Your car is really neat, can't wait to see what it does in the quarter. I had a stock 1996 3800 V-6 and it surprised me several times. This ought to be alot of fun. Those sixes are impressive.

get an auto, but then youll be into it as much as a 12 bolt or 9 in.

We have an 8.8 in our fox, with 35 spline axles, still 4 lug, lol. It's hilarious to run 10.0 passes and have all the 11 second mustang guys tell us the stock 4 lug rear is too weak, prove us wrong. Really is a stout little sucker for the dirt cheap price, more so that everyone seems to run away from them. Just wish I had the equipment to redneck one under my camaro, but getting all the brackets on exactly right would be a pain.

Picked up my Tial MVS wastegate today, very nice little piece of equipment. Got an ATI Harmonic Balancer in the mail too, hoping it will solve my flywheel bolt issue. The stocker just can't handle the harmonics at the rpm's I run. The flywheel bolts despite my best efforts keep backing out.

Got lots of junk to order yet, bet we're getting there. Tomorrow I will have the headers media blasted, and if there's time left in the day have the wastegate flange welded on.
