If your smart dont buy the Camaro I bought a 1 lt in July and am having some problems with it and Gm is not standing behinding there product. The seats in the car make a creeking noise and the gas in the gas tank when 3/4 full is making alot of noise smacking around in the tank. Took it to the dealer and they think it might be a design flaw or problem with the bafel but when speeking to GM they told me the car is up to spec and would not put new seats in or look into the gas tank problem. This is a greet looking car but made like crap. It is the first time in 25 years I have bought a American car It was a big mistake.

 

Sorry to hear that and Especially the Dealership Not fixing the problems it can (seats).
The Gas tank will probably get on a safety recall, but only after a few people die and some lawsuits. It doesn't matter what Make vehicle you buy, there is always a problem, but the gas tank is un-acceptable to me. You dont want to end up like TWA 800 or rather as they say it did.

well its an lt1 so it is pre 1998 i believe and he bough it probably used doesnt state how many previous owners doesnt say whether or not anyone has ever "worked" on it sounds like he bought a used car and went down to dealerships lookin for hand outs for somethign they have no control over i may be wrong but thats how i took it my opinion would be fix it yourself upgrade go aftermarket get on here and ask for help dont get onto a camaro forums website that has nothing to do with GM and start bashing their cars everyone on here bought a camaro to love their car not bash it

 

I think he posted in the wrong section. The LT1 or 1LT is the Base V6.

Sounds kind of funny that the one and only post is a slam, and on a Camaro site, too. It'll probably be the last time they are on here, too. I will say, that if it's a sincere concern of the OP that the problems can get fixed.
