Pre purchase inspection?
2001 Camaro "RS"
I finally found a Camaro that i like after meeting with countless owners who crashed or messed it up while modding it. It seemed like it ran just fine, but I test drove it on a rainy day so when I go back to pick it up I'm going to check for oil leaks, contour lines, exhaust smoke, etc. I'm not too car savvy so I come to you with a question. Should I take this car to a mechanic to check everything before I buy it? I'm low on money but I can get a hundred more or two to make sure this baby is fresh. If not, what else should I check?

****ty pic. Sorry , all the ones on craigslist were pretty bad.

Are you meaning that this one has been crashed and messed up from modding? Or are you speaking of others you have checked out? Having a mechanic you trust check it out, or somebody you know that knows cars do it, would certainly be a good idea.
The other one I drove felt really wobbly and I found out it was in an accident involving the rear end. This one has a clean record but you never know. I didn't get to drive it at higher speeds due to the weather. I'm going to ask a knowledgeable friend to come with me.
