Default Power Seat Conversion

My manual driver's seat had become loose over time, with enough play in it that every start/stop it shifted slightly. I figured since I'd be replacing the bracket I might as well make it a powered seat. I'm getting a used track and the wiring harness (and switches, etc.) I need. Any tips on where to tap in to the power? Is there a wiring harness prewired for these in all vehicles I can plug in to? Any tips would be appreciated.

I searched for a thread on this but came up empty. If it is already out there and anyone knows where a link would also be appreciated.

Yep insert fuse and plug in. The harness is right under the carpet waiting to be used.

Hm, I have electric seats from a 96-97 t/a in my car (with the inflatable bolsters), I searched for awhile and I couldn't find the harness underneath the carpet. If the above is true, is there a harness for the passenger seat too>

The plug was right there under the carpet - seat install took all of 20 minutes and it works awesome. Thanks!

I did this same mod to my car two years ago. One of the best changes I made. I had to use my same seat, and just swapped out the frame/tracks underneath. I had installed the carpet in my Camaro back in 2001 and made sure I slit the carpet so the factory wiring was as I found it and ready for the mod at any time.

I'm sure you're enjoying the change as much as I did.
