Default Power Door Locks Problem

The power door locks on the driver side do not work. I measured the voltage going to the actuator, there is no voltage when I press lock / unlock.

Is there some kind of relay for this function ? The passenger side works ...

Also, how do I remove the lock where the actuator is attached ?

Thank You !

Car : 2000 Camaro V6

if u are not getting power to the actuator inside the door then see if u are getting power to the switch on that side. if u have no power to the switch check the wires that come out under the kick pad. now according to the 93 book i have the power goes through the driver side switch from the passenger side so if the passenger side is working then i would suspect the driver side switch.

I bought a new lock and actuator. Still does not work .
How can I measure if the voltages to the actuator are correct ? The actuator has two connectors.

So what voltages should be there on which connector if I press lock / unlock on the remote ?

Also, where is the relay for the power door locks located ?

Thanks !

So I found out that there is no relay, the door locks are controled by the body control module.

I measure -12 / +12 volt at the driver door lock actuator and 12 volt at the driver door lock switch.

The 12 volt at the driver door lock switch seem to be not right, should be 0 volt (ground), or not ?

Look here (page 39)

Where do I find the body control module (2000 Camaro 3.8) ?

Thanks !

Still troubleshooting !

I removed the connector c1 from the bcm and put a wire
between Pin A, Driver Door Unlock (Circuit #694) and
Pin E, Passenger Door Unlock, Pin E (Circuit #1663).

Now both doors lock and unlock !

Without the wire only the passenger side works.

Any explenations ?

Thanks !

have u checked for juice coming to and from the passenger side switch? if u have power to the switch and no power coming out when activated then the switch is bad. if u are not getting power to the switch then u need to look further up the line and find were the juice starts/stops.
