I am working on my 1980 Camaro Z28 and I am looking for a Door Lock Linkage Rod or as described in another site a Door Open Rod Assembly. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement? I guess they are discontinued. It's the rod that goes from the lock down. I just replaced the locks and noticed the car didn't come with the rods for some reason.

 

Check ebay for one. Also look around inside the bottom of your door. Yours may have fallen off and down.

 

I wish they did fall to the bottom of the door. Looks like the previous owner tried to fix and lost a couple pieces. The only one I need the the Door Lock Rod. The only one I can find anywhere is a 69 Camaro Door Rod. I wonder if I can modify one. Or if I get a pic of one and have it fabricated I guess. Just getting the car ready for the summer. Any suggestions we be appreciated.

 

look at the balancer or take the shield of the bellhousing and see if its internaly or externaly balanced
