CHEEKS, Like the new hood. Is is fiberglass, what brand? how was the fit? I notice that you dont have the plastic winshield covers anymore and the hood meets the screen.How many wild horses under the hood?

 

yep, new hood is fiberglass, got it from VFN Fiberglass. I have to say I was pleased with the fit, no matter where you go, you hear pros and cons from every company, but VFN was pretty well known so I went with them.

That particular hood is the Extended sunoco hood so it covers up where the wiper cowl would be. Due to the underhood modifications (carb style intake and 4bbl throttle body w/ carb horn) I had to cut the wiper cowl out and make everything fit. The hood does fit tight to the windshield to cut down the vortex that is created on the windshield when running down the track.

I actually don't know how much power it makes to be honest. I got the motor tuned and then started spraying it, but I make the adjustments at the track now via datalogs and reading plugs. It made 501whp on motor, who knows what it makes on spray.
