It cost me about 30+ hours of work and $1500. The only part of the repair that I didnt do was the final paint work. The body shop that I had the car towed to started writing an estimate and never finished once the price of the repair hit $4500 since that was clearly a total. I used to be a body man and painter but I have to stay away from that stuff now. I was a bad boy tho and painted the jambs myself.
Here is another pic of Sarah the day before the wreck.
This is my friends 96 RS/SS. And before you say there was never such a thing lemme explain. The car started life as a 96 RS 3.8L After his 2000 Z28 was totaled the RS recieved the engine, interior and everything you need to complete the complete engine swap. The Z28 was an unofficial SLP car. It was not ordered as an SS or SLP but it did go through SLP after it was purchased. This LS1 has alot more power than my Wife's Z28 of the same year.
The last is a pic of my Camaro and the RS/SS
Right now the grey hood is getting painted and soon the stripes will be added as well.
