wait, so it only lights up from the flash on the camera/headlights from a car?! or did you make it so the tail lights shine through the side of the lens somehow to go across the tape to constantly shine?

 

it only lights up from the headlights from a car or any light. believe me it's a nice touch and easy. there is no need to use hidden LED lines and make an electrical harness mess. :-)

Ok, so it's not a 4th-gen, but I couldn't resist sharing this beauty. I went to the local aftermarket solutions place (Car audio, security systems, rims/tires, tinting, etc) and found this parked right outside:
