Is is possible Swap a LS1 Dashboard into a LT1?
I have a '95 Camaro V6 and the dash is tore up. I was gonna replace it with one from the same model until I saw this pic:
It's from a '99 Trans Am. http://www.gmhightechperformance.com.../photo_07.html, And it gave me thoughts about leaving the ugly dash alone and get one similar to the one in the picture from a Trans Am or even a LS1 Camaro. I need to know if it's possible to mount it without a bunch of modding.

You would need to do some homework behind the dash to ensure that the connectors on the wiring harness will fit the new dash swtiches, etc. I am guessing there would be several differences in the connections. As far as the physical dash fitting, my guess is that it probably would. I have seen several older trucks equiped with new dashes from later models but not sure how much $$ or time was involved in doing the swap. JMO, that and 3.00 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

As far as physical dimensions it should bolt right up. The only problem will be wiring and A/C ducting. My suggestion is to find a donor car and take the dash and cut all the wiring so that you can keep the plugs and splice them into your existing wiring. Just make sure you have all the wiring correct when splicing.
Remember it's easy to let the smoke out of electroincs but a b***h to put it back it.

Well you already know it will fit, as you posted the pictures of the trans am interior in a camaro.... anyways the end result looks amazing and I'd say if you have the time, money, and determination its worth it!
