Default p0100 and p1657 issues

i have a 1997 camaro z28 and i have gotten these two codes. it has happened a couple times now. first time i just replaced the fuse and it fixed it for about 30 miles then my car bogged for a second and then came right back to normal. i dont know if this is my maf or what. i looked up the codes. first one is for the maf. second one is for the 1-4 upshift thing. is there a way i can ohm out my maf or wires to it to make sure they are good. this has only happened to me while in neutral and not in gear. please help it makes it very difficult to get into reverse with this fuse blown and the problem not fixed.

it says that i need a special adapter for the multimeter. where would i find this and how does it plug in. the article says to see the photo but there isnt one. i can look at the gps of the maf through my obdII scanner. i assume the fuse has to be in and not broken for this to be accurate.

is the 97 a three wire maf, should be the red wire, I'm not sure they make the adaptor anymore. i would probe the wire. know anyone with a good scanner, should be able to get the same readings from it.
