Default Opinions on wheels?

So after searching forever for a wheel that I liked I had decided on getting a set of the SS reproduction wheels (black with the machined face)

17" 17x9 Alloy Wheels Rims for 2000 2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS Brand New Set4 | eBay

That is until I saw that a guy locally has a set of cragar s/s chrome thrusts 17x9 already wrapped with BFGoodrich G-force tires that he claims have very low miles and he is only asking $550obo. He didn't specify bolt pattern but the add states "Great for Camaro or Firebird T/A."

What would you guys do? I think thats an absolute steal on those wheels/tire combo but it seems like everybody has Torque Thrust style wheels on there cars. Also I wasn't quite ready to buy wheels yet, but if they are what he says they are then that is one hell of a deal.

I like the SS rims better. The Cragars look too much like mustang gt rims to me and dont seem to fit as well as the SS rims.

bicycle rims are better than salad shooters. in any event, the rear wheels you buy will need to be opened 1/4 inch in order to fit over the hubs and mount. If you want to be able to rotate the tires, and use the same size tire all around, then all 4 wheels would need to be opened 1/4 inch

97's and higher don't have that issue

I have OE SS LE wheels and I love them. They look better than Cragars IMO.

I mean I definatley like the look of the ss wheels better but those cragar are still nice and retail for $1000 a set plus tires, so for $500 I get new, more expensive wheels and tires whereas Id pay roughly $600 for the repro ss wheels and still have to buy tires...idk.

Hey, if you have a deal man, take it. you could always get the one thats a deal, turn around and flip it to make more cash, then get the rims you really want and wrap them in excellent new tires. Just a thought.

I actually like my salad shooters. Plan on painting them white actually to match the rally car. I dont car for the fancy rims. And unless you go smaller, Ive never heard of needing to space the rims unless you get the wrong size tires.

Cragar SS wheels are for older cars. They just dont look right on these cars and many others.... I would go for TT 2's... They look just right 4th gens. Maybe go with painted black spokes and polished rim to be a lil different....
