ViciouZ: No need to worry about wear when they're only used at the track, plus, it's just the ET Street, not the ET Street Radial, so they're going to be a bit more grabby, and have even more horrible traction in the rain, so they don't go on the road.
z28rob: Keep $2000 set aside for a nice rear-end because running slicks it's only a matter of time before you're going to need one. Could be a bunch of races down the road, could be 1 launch away. Just some food for thought.
Oh, and someone asked how big of tire you can fit, the answer is a 315 on an 11" wheel. You may have to do a little bit of hammering to keep it from rubbing, but they'll go in there...
