But on the other side of that when i have been pulled over, the cop commented about liking my car
AND still gave me a ticket

From what ive seen. Celebrity status usually only helps cars when the owner is known as a car guy. Movie stars/musicians definitely add value to a car by owning it, but not nearly as much as say Dale Earnhardt Jr or Jay Leno would. Now factor in that its wrecked and the price plummets. Only if it was wrecked in some cool way would that make it valuable in my opinion. Like "this is the Pantera that Vince Neil killed that guy with!" A Randy Travis T/A probably would have brought big bucks in the 80s when he was a country superstar, but nowadays, youd probably get more money for Brad Paisleys riding mower.
