Default Ok, need some help.

Im 17 (18 in like20 days) andIve been lookin at2 1995 or so LT1 Camaros and a 1998 V6 Camaro, now i know theres only a difference of 75hp but the asking price is whats killing me. The 95 has 85K on it and the 98s have upwards toward 100+K. (thats all i can find CLOSE to my price range) Paying insurance on an LT wouldnt be a problem and same for the V6. Gas shouldnt be a problem since id make money for insurance one paycheck and the 2nd paycheck of the month would be for gas and parts etc. But the V6 would save me more and I could regain that 75 horse difference with a few simple bolt ons i assme. High Performance Chevy magazinesays MAF, Intake, header back exhuast, chip and tuner will landsome pretty numbers with an LS1 so I figure its about the same for any year/model. Once again im 17 ive got a minimum wage job (7.93/hr) and ive got to pay for all on my own (buying the car, insurance and gas).I know the V6 would be more economical but I had a V6 98 Mustang (obviously) and it was zippy and sport but it was slow as *****... But the Camaro V63.8 is faster than mostof all theV6 mustangs outthere... What do you all think?

98V6 (alil bit above my price range, but economical and will save me money in the long run)

95 V8 (In my price range and may leave my running low on funds at times.)

95 V8 number 2 (id have more than enough to buy it but its got alot of miles on it 139K)

96 - 98 mustangs was the worst thing that mustang decided to do specially with the gt's, but if your going for horsepower and speed, i would go with your z's. they take pretty well to mods just like the ls1. but economicaly the v6 is your better choice, i have a 98, gas is good, and its fun to drive still, and ive walked some cocky chick in a 00 v6 stang and the ocasional ricer, but you not gonna see much hp gain out of mods to the v6, your best bet is to get like 225 with headers and exhuast CAI, but its all up to you. im tryin to sell my 98 as a matter of fact now, and gonna get me an lt1.

Ok, so LT1 would be better all around for power, im guessing mpg isnt THAT bad but still isnt going to keep alot of money in my pocket? Id like a Z28 just so i wouldnt have to drop too much money into it, some exhuast and stuff like that. I dont plan on going forced induction ANY time soon... so basic bolt ons will net me enough power to satisfy mei would suspect.

Do you think the white LT1 would be the best then?

Go for the white Z28, the red one looks nice but it's going to have frame damage 'cause it was once a salvage title, stay away from it! As far as gas goes, I get 16-17 driving city, highway I'll get 23-25(I don't drive all highway that often so I don't have very many stats for that one).

I live less than a mile away from school but its up one huge hill (i live on a plateau) and i work about 10 miles away... not too much driving.. but alot of looking bad *** lol. I make about 450 a month so i shouldnt have a problem affording all the insurance and gas on a newer fuel injected v8

Yeah, i sold my 98 mustang with 78K i believe and a salvage/rebuild title and some cosmetic stuff for 4000, i was asking 4500 but the kid talked me down kuz he wanted to put new rims and i sympathized with him since it would have been his first car too..
