Smoke started coming out of the engine compartment today.

I put the car on ramps and noticed the oil sending unit was leaking oil onto the exhaust.

Never changed the oil sending unit. I don't know how to go about changing it. I need a 1-1/16th socket.. that's all i know XD

Its simple, just remove the old one, and install the new one.

 

I would clean up around the old one really well before pulling it out. Then I would use a little thread sealer on the new one and start threading it in by hand if you can, this will avoid cross threading. Let us know how you did.
