Default oil pressure sending unit

okay so my oil pressure sending unit is on the drive side of block close to oil filter and the guy i bought it from put another one in it but was not able to figure out how the harness is ran because the old sending unit has what appears to be heat shield tape and feels like rubber under it with the wire running into the top through the opening so would i cut the rubber off the old unit to expose the clip or what?

this is the best price i have seen for a quality new one. i wouldn't go with a used one unless you know its not very old. Dash Pads, 6LE Designs LLC
