Default Oil Pan Leaking?

I jacked my car up a while ago because I have noticed oil spots under the car whenever I park. It appears that the oil pan is leaking around the rear, and if you have a v6, then you also know that the exhaust runs right there. that explains the burning oil smell. but I was just curious if it is hard to undo and redo the gasket on the oil pan. I didnt notice how close the crossmember was so just thought i would see if anyone else has done this. also my engine light has been coming on and off randomly whether it be for a day or just an hour. it will go off on its own even while i am driving. pretty random. I dont this the low oil would make the engine light come on due to the fact that the dash has its own "low oil" light. anyways, anything on either of these topics would be nice. thanks

changing oil pan gasket is not easy but not complicated either. going to have unhook motor mounts to lift the front of motor as much as you can to get it out. also will need to take the dipstick tube out. are you sure its not the rear main. that is also a leaky place on the 6.

oh and make sure the oil is not coming from farther up. oil pressure sensor also has been known to leak. have it scanned for trouble codes at the local parts store. thats if they have a scanner that will work on it.
