Oil dipstick help.. New here

Default Oil dipstick help.. New here

So i recently bought a 93 z28 and can't find the oil dipstick.. i thought it's near the tranny dipstick but nothing is there.. i then found the dipstick in the back of the trunk. so who knows if thats the one that goes in the motor? help?

you can see it in the first two pictures and in the last you can see the hole in the block where it goes.

okay.. i also found a screw pushed in a hose down there too and didnt know what that hose goes to? and also, what size thermostat do you guys run in a lt1?

i use a 180 degree thermostat. picture of hose please.

I use a 160 hypertech stat.

I have a stock thermostat in mine, I believe it is 180 degrees.

ill bet theres a hose stuck in the dip stick tube hole, if its not plugged you would lose oil outa it. maybe the previous owner stuck the dipstick in the hose to check oil.

I'm pretty sure the stock termo is 210 or 220.

not in a 93. 180 is stock for the lt1 and 195 is stock for the 93 3.4
