Default O2 sensor extensions

ok for all you out there with long tube headers, do I really need to spend and extra $40 (+ shipping, tax and VAT for shipping over here in UK) on the extensions when i get LTs or can i simple extend the wire. I have vehicle cable i wired my MG with so Im presuming that will be fine? Just cut the cables, solder longer ones in and heat wrap? Will this work

you can do it yourself and extend the wires. As for me, it was just easier to buy extensions

try www.lsxtune.com for low cost extensions

thanks for the link, i found some from texas speed for $40 so that where i got my price.

I was just worried a bit about the resistance it the wires are not matched , but i can test the difference and dont think it will change anything, ill look into it.
