I've had some incidences with my alarm in the past. When I bought the car, there was no keyless remote included. So of course I had to rush to open the door and stick the key in and turn it to RUN. Two times, as soon as I opened the door, the alarm went off right away. I assumed then that someone just happened to bump into my car because it happened at my work parking lot and my school parking lot. So I bought a keyless remote, had it programmed to my car, and haven't had a problem with it going off since. But then this morning when I went to go to work, the security light was on when I opened the car and my car was completely disabled. My parents are letting me park inside the garage, so it wasn't outside at all for anyone to get to. I also had it locked. I had asked my dad if he happened to bump into it when he left my dog out at night, and he said he didn't even let the dog out. I asked if the one cat was out in the garage (she likes to sit on the cars sometimes) and he said he didn't notice her out there. So I'm kind of stuck as to what happened. The alarm itself didn't go off, meaning the horn didn't honk, the lights didn't flash. My car was simply disabled. And since apparently no one bumped into it or touched my car, I'm wondering if it's just the alarm itself acting up? After a few minutes, the light turned off and I was able to start my car and leave. Any ideas on this?
