I noticed the other week when I was working on Sofie that the passenger side door wouldn't unlock with the key. Since the battery is disconnected and I usually use a key fob, I had to manually unlock my doors to get inside. The key unlocks the driver side and the trunk just fine. But I thought it was a little odd it wouldn't unlock the passenger side. I tried moving it back and fourth, but I didn't want to put too much pressure on it and risk breaking the key off. It unlocks with the key fob and sliding the lock open from the inside, but I would have thought the key would open it from the outside, too. Any ideas?

The lock mechanism is probably seized up -- spray in some WD-40 to start.

K. I looked inside as I was trying to turn the key. The mechanism inside wiggles a little, as does the key from the outside, but it doesn't unlock. I wasn't sure if maybe the lock was replaced and the key doesn't work or if the lock itself was probably broken somehow. Anything is possible with this car...

That's what it seems like. I know the car has been beat up and possibly wrecked. I just wasn't sure if that was some weird Camaro thing or what. I really never had a reason to manually unlock the passenger side. No one really ever drives with me. But it will be a long time before I can get someone to look at it if that's the case...

My driver's keylock is also seized. Since I've got the remotes and the passenger side, I let it be.

Not using it leads to corrosion and eventually the tumblers and linkages can freeze up, it's not uncommon at all. Spray inside the lock with penetrating oil as mentioned (I prefer PB Blaster). Give the connected linkages inside the door a shot too, you should be able to reach the spray hose between the glass and the end weatherstripping. Also lube the lever mechanism on the door latch where the rod from the lock connects. Basically, spray everything, let it soak, and then start to work at the lock.

Yeah it could be that the mechanism is locked up or a different door. Try spraying a lubricant into it as Camaro 69 suggested and see if that works if not talk to a locksmith.
im not sure if doors have vins but if they do check that as well
