Default Noise coming from stick shift boot

I started hearing a feint whistling today while driving. Wasn't sure but i thought it was coming from my stick shift area. I ended up taking the boot off and the noise got a little louder, and the noise is definitely coming from this area. The noise is really feint from 0-10 mph, a little louder from 10-75 mph, happens in all gears, even neutral. Its not really loud though, with an average radio volume its hard to hear. Any ideas what it might be or where i should start investigating? Thanks.

better get under there and have a look. maybe something rubbing driveshaft, exhaust leak, vacuum leak. have a look at brakes to see if wear indicators are doing it
