the brakes have been called soft. i am going to try some drilled and slotted rotors with some ceramic pads also adding some new strano stainless braided brake lines. you may have a little air in the system or a glaze on the rotors. check your rubber brake lines for damage or wear.

when i first got the car i considered them soft, but the more i drove it i felt the bite, especially if your going from 100+ down to 35, you`ll see what i mean, just make sure there is tons of road ahead of you in case you have air in the lines!!

i'm trying to remember the deal on the 4th Gen master cylinder. seems like it has a fast take-up on the rear piston. also if you have any rotor warpage you can get pad kick-back.

If you take a look at this month's copy of Camaro Performers. Their 4th gen project car got a new set of brakes from Wilwood. You can see a write up on their site about it too.

I have 2 of these cars one a 99-3.8L (the one in my sig) and also a '00 Z28 (my wife's daily driver) and both of these cars have great stopping power with the factory brakes. I have driven quicker stoppers but not from the era of these cars.
