So if the engine starts up and runs fine, when is it not getting any fuel?

Angry Been here, done this

Have screwed around with this issue for the past 2+ years (car is an occaisional driver.) After being stranded because of no starts, we finally elected to replace the fuel pump. Couple of weeks later - another no start . After a few more no starts, mechanic discovered a loose wire in a relay that controls fuel pressure. The relay is located under the carpet - drivers side.

can you get the cars computer scanned for trouble codes? could save some time and money. could be a number of things, plugs, plug wires, fuel pressure regulator, plugged fuel filter, plugged air filter, plugged catylitic converter, failing sensor,
